Jayleen Alvarado is the Director of Programming and Partnerships at Groundwork Collaborative, where she leads high-impact public programming and strategic partnerships to advance a progressive economic vision.
With extensive experience in advocacy, coalition-building, and policy, Jayleen has led national campaigns on workers’ rights, college affordability, immigrant justice, and housing affordability. Before being promoted to director, she served as Associate Director of Campaigns & Partnerships, where she directed large-scale programming, including EconCon Presents 2024, bringing together policymakers, journalists, and advocates to shape a shared vision of progressive economic power.
Previously, she held key roles at Daily Kos, The Center for Popular Democracy, and The Century Foundation, where she designed and executed advocacy strategies, grassroots mobilization efforts, and capacity-building initiatives. She also worked in the office of U.S. Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, gaining firsthand experience in legislative strategy.
Jayleen is a graduate of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Originally from Pennsylvania, she now spends her free time reading, shopping, watching Love Is Blind, and enjoying time with her dogs.
