David Ballard

David Ballard is the Associate Director for Narrative Strategies at Groundwork Collaborative.

Prior to joining Groundwork, David worked on economic policy, campaigns, and communications at the Center for American Progress, with a focus on ending poverty and building worker power. He has also held positions in electoral organizing, sports and film journalism, and behavior change marketing.

David is a proud Floridian, born and raised in Orlando, and holds a B.S. from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism. He currently lives in Washington D.C. and enjoys exploring Rock Creek Park, watching movies, and attempting to pick up tennis.
