Groundwork’s Bilal Baydoun on June CPI Report: “Bright green light for rate cuts”

Today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the June Consumer Price Index, which shows prices fell 0.1% in June. Groundwork Collaborative’s Director of Policy and Research Bilal Baydoun reacted with the following statement:

“Today’s report is a bright green light for rate cuts. Prices are falling, and the Fed’s current stance is only hindering that progress. The Fed has all the data it needs to cut rates now.”
