Meghan Schneider has a decade of experience using communications as a tool to drive legislative and electoral change. As the Campaigns Director and Senior Communications Advisor at Groundwork Action, Meghan leads multi-faceted campaigns spanning a range of issues. Prior to joining the Groundwork team, Meghan led state communications at Climate Power and worked on two presidential campaigns in her home state of Iowa. She has spent significant time working internationally, including using her communications expertise as a tool to strengthen democracy and build trust in public institutions in the wake of the Ebola epidemic.
Meghan is a proud Syracuse University alumna, where she received a number of academic honors. Meghan completed the Renée Crown University Honors Program as well as the political science distinction program. Her undergraduate thesis on the role of nongovernmental organizations in combating human trafficking was awarded Outstanding Thesis.
Meghan earned dual master’s degrees in Public Relations and International Relations from Syracuse’s top-rated S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Maxwell School of Public Citizenship & Public Affairs.
Outside of work, Meghan enjoys spending time outdoors, spoiling her dog, and crafting while watching reality TV. She currently lives in Washington, D.C.
