Shamaal Sheppard

Shamaal Sheppard is the Associate Director of Policy and Advocacy.

Prior to joining Groundwork, Shamaal led research projects on housing, income supports, and healthcare at the Center on Poverty and Inequality at Georgetown University.

Previously, he served as a Policy Advisor for Congressman Jamaal Bowman. Shamaal earned his masters degree from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, specializing in health policy. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in health services.
